QUOTES FROM THIS EPISODE
5:09 ~ “You try to reside in your mind and your heart and your body as much as possible - in your heart, even more so - but your mind takes over and it's good that it takes over sometimes. You want have a nice balance.”
8:16 ~ “There's lots of work we need to do, but you do the best you can. People stay away from it, not because they're overwhelmed by the scope of the problems anymore, they're overwhelmed by the scope of the solutions. They don't know. What do I do. Like they’re stuck at base camp wanting to climb Mount Everest... ‘what kind of gear do I need?’ There's too much to choose from... But just do something. Put on these boots here, you know, get this backpack there, and just start climbing. You may not make it to the top, but do what you can.”
24:39 ~ “Breathing is key. The times when you're really going to hurt yourself is when you're uptight and you're holding your breath and you're not breathing properly and you're not in your body. Just relax with everything that's going on and calm yourself. Get back to what's true.”
34:16 ~ “You don't just run up the ladder and dive off the high dive. You practice and practice and practice and you do your homework so you can make that dive and know that there's gonna be water in the pool. You've got to fill that pool yourself... You've got to get the hose and do it and stand there and there's some work involved.”
53:02 ~ “You know there's the world of art and the world of commerce and they certainly intersect. But for our purposes, if you're fulfilling your needs artistically, that should always trump commerce.”
